Description

The Body Imaging Division of the Department of Radiology in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Division Chief. The Division Chief will be responsible for leading the division in the clinical, education, and research areas, as we continue our mission to improve health and patient care throughout Arkansas.

The ideal candidate should be teamwork oriented with a mindset for service line delivery of health care.  Our goal is to provide efficient delivery of health care in addition to our education-oriented program.  The candidate would be highly involved in residency and fellow training and will be involved in multidisciplinary conferences.  This a great opportunity for a radiologist seeking to enhance their leadership skills, as there will be an assigned mentor to assist with leadership development for this particular role.  We will also strongly consider dynamic, early to mid-career radiologists, with potential to further grow in this role.  The division chief will be a key member of Executive Council of Radiology, the decision making body of radiology department, along with other division chiefs and the Chair.

In addition to Body Imaging, the Department of Radiology faculty offer expertise across key Divisions including MSK, Breast, Interventional Neuroradiology, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology, Radiology Sciences and Pediatric Radiology.  We provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care in conjunction with appropriate consultants and specialists for the diagnosis of a broad spectrum of diseases.  Our mission is to provide high quality patient care while training the next generation of diagnostic radiologists.

Candidates must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree, fellowship trained and be either BE/BC by the ABR and have medical licensure or eligibility in Arkansas.

Applicants interested in the position should e-mail CV and letter of interest to BJTurgeon@uams.edu or call 501-686-6901 for more information.
