Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur organization is a physician-led multi-specialty group with over 650 providers, currently in search of a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist who is dedicated to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care. This role focuses on inpatient care, specifically for stroke and general neurology patients at our Time Sensitive Emergency Level 1 (Comprehensive) Stroke Center located in Boise. The work schedule consists of a 7-day work week, with two weeks of day shifts (Monday through Friday, including Saturday and Sunday) each month.
The Neuroscience Institute at our facility encourages teamwork among a diverse group of specialists, including neurosurgeons, neurologists, vascular neurologists, neuroradiologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists, physiatrists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and oncologists. Our Boise location is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, while Nampa holds a Primary+ Stroke designation. The Boise facility features a Fellowship-trained Neurocritical Care (NCC) unit, entirely managed by MDs, which includes 18 Neuro/Trauma ICU beds and 17 Neuro step-down beds. The NCC ICU operates under an attending service model, while the Neurohospitalist (NH) team provides consultative services for acute care and leads all brain attack activations during their shifts. Our telestroke hub-and-spoke model connects six emergency departments and six independent regional hospitals.
Support Services: We offer a well-established outpatient neurology clinic and an inpatient neurology program in Boise, supported by employed interventional radiology (NIR) partners for procedures, stroke coordinators, and comprehensive elective interventional neuroradiology services. These services include biplane angiography, MRI/MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4-vessel angiography, and various interventional procedures for stroke, fistula, intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD), and aneurysms.
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in Neurology; Fellowship training in Neurohospitalist Stroke, Neurovascular, or similar is advantageous.
Board certification or the ability to achieve certification within three years of employment.
Eligibility for Idaho medical licensure, OR a telehealth license, along with the necessary privileges at our organization and affiliated hospitals.
Current registration for controlled substances with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
